Fri Dec 22

We’re excited to share the highlights of our work from the past year at TRC Windows. Specializing in window restoration and installation, we blend skilled craftsmanship with a commitment to preserving architectural heritage, all while ensuring our projects meet contemporary standards for functionality and efficiency. In this post, we’ll showcase some of our standout projects and the impact they’ve had on both historical and modern buildings across the UK.

Our Restoration Philosophy

Our approach to restoration is rooted in respect for history and a commitment to excellence. We understand that each window tells a story, woven into the fabric of the building it adorns. Our team meticulously works to preserve these narratives, ensuring each restoration not only maintains the historical integrity of the structure but also infuses it with renewed vitality and efficiency.

2023’s Featured Projects

This year, we had the privilege of working on several landmark buildings, each with its own unique challenges and stories. Here are a few highlights:

Elm Park Gardens

TRC was tasked with surveying, removing, manufacturing, and installing over 600 traditional double-glazed box sash windows. The project, valued at £1.1M and spanning 18 months, required meticulous work within occupied dwellings, ensuring minimal disruption to residents. TRC’s efforts focused on matching the new windows with the original style, ensuring energy efficiency with a U-value of 1.4, and providing controlled ventilation while maintaining the historical integrity of the estate.

This Grade I listed building, originally 26 terraced houses, required windows matching the original style while offering modern performance. TRC’s solution, valued at £270K and completed in 16 weeks, involved ultra-slim balances fitting into adapted reveals, achieving a U-value of 1.4 and meeting the PAS 24 standard in the residential section.
