Nestled in the heart of London’s West End, a stone’s throw away from Covent Garden’s main piazza and some of the city’s most famous theatres, LSE Grosvenor House is located on the east side of Drury Lane, two buildings south of the junction between Great Queen Street and Long Acre.

The building provides self-contained studio flats with top grade facilities. During the academic year, LSE Grosvenor House plays host to students of the London School of Economics and Political Science, while the summer season sees it open its doors to the general public, providing high-end self-catering accommodation for all.

A historic red-brick building with white framed windows, ornate carvings, and a clear blue sky in the background.

TRC were recently appointed by Corley + Woolley Ltd to give a new lease of life to the prestigious student accommodation

With its close proximity to Covent Garden and the school buildings, Grosvenor House is undoubtedly the jewel in LSE’s accommodation crown. The building itself comprises a ground floor, five upper stories and a basement. It was originally constructed during the early twentieth century and underwent thorough renovation in the 1970s.

Appointed by Corley + Woolley, TRC undertook the external refurbishment of this late Victorian building. Acting as a subcontractor, TRC supplied and fitted new bespoke casement windows to both the front and back elevations, providing this prestigious student accommodation facility with a brand new sparkle for 2022.

Our new timber casement windows were sympathetic to the look and feel of the original window designs while providing modern thermal and acoustic performance. To learn more about our new window services, peruse our selection of heritage and traditional window options.
