TRC acted as main contractor and also undertook the scaffold, electrical and asbestos removal works.
This project demonstrates the diverse range of projects we are able to undertake involving windows.
TRC were appointed as principal contractor by Academies Enterprise Trust to carry out replacement of the schools existing “Crittall” single glazed windows, doors and sections of timber cladding to a block of classrooms at Tendring College, Clacton-on-Sea.
The works included the removal and disposal of the existing windows, doors and timber cladding sections whilst managing the specialist removal of asbestos in and around the area of the work.
The 420 square meters of windows were replaced using high performance aluminium clad windows, specifically an aluprof MB70 aluminium window system using 28.8 double glazed glass units with 20mm aluminium insulated panels and colour matched trespa panels above.
The onsite contract period was 12 weeks and was completed on time and within budget
